Welcome
[edit]...to the Wikiproject Motorcycling Italian Motorcycles Special Interest Group, which aims to ensure that the coverage of Italian motorcycles on Wikipedia is as accurate and comprehensive as possible.
To Do List
[edit]- Moto:
- Ducati Scrambler, Ducati 125 Cadet/4, and lots and lots of Ducati singles and two-strokes
- Moto Guzzi V7/Ambassador/Eldorado/850 Probably redirect all these to a single-page history of this series. Main articles on each one later, if desired.
- Produttori
- Redlinks Italian manufacturers in production and Italian manufacturers no longer in production
- Ducati Product history 50's and 60's should have paragraph describing range of products over that time, not just links to singles and the Apollo.
- Ducati Singles Expand OHV singles and two-strokes; article incorrectly implies that it was all about bevelheads and desmos designed by Fabio Taglioni. Some day split in to 3 articles: Bevel/Desmo, OHV pushrods, and two-strokes.
- Ducati V-twin motorcycles Sort out overlapping history with bevelhead material in Ducati Singles, fix WP:PROSELINE
- Berliner Motor Corporation Incorporate, as appropriate, resources listed on Talk:Berliner Motor Corporation. Find further background dates on M. Berliner's time in Army, beginning & end of each brand distributed, describe failed plans to buy Ducati and other Italian companies. Improve citations for Mick Walker's anecdote at end.

Special Categories
[edit]The special Category Category:Motorcycles of Italy has been created to bring together all Italian motorcycle articles on Wikipedia, so it is the first place to look to find the gaps or to expand existing articles.
Italian motorcycle images
[edit]We have been building uo a comprehensive collection of Italian motorcycle images at the WikiMedia Commons, organised by make of bike. Please have a look and see if you can identify any which have incomplete information - and add any copyright free images that you have.
Italian motorcycle manufacturers
[edit]The list of Italian motorcycle manufacturers is held in Category:Motorcycle manufacturers of Italy. The aim is to cover envery known producer of Italian motorcycles. Each article should have the template Template:Infobox Company completed in as much detail as possible - with any units converted, which can be quite complicated until you get used to it so its worth referring to Template:Convert.
